What are the steps to perform RFID Ragout?

This article outlines the steps for ragging out items which removes them from the active inventory on the Laundris platform.

Ragout is the process of removing active items from the Laundris platform so they can be taken out of circulation. Property customers are responsible for performing ragout, and this process should be done on a regular basis as a best practice for inventory management.

RFID Ragout Using a Handheld Scanner

  • Step 1: Log in with your email and password and connect to a handheld scanner if necessary.

For instructions on connecting a handheld scanner, please reference the Connecting to a Scanner knowledge article in the Help Center.

  • Step 2: Decrease the power level to 10 dBm or lower by tapping on the gear icon in the right corner of the app, then adjust the scanner power slide bar. Next, isolate yourself and the items selected for ragout from existing active inventory.

Please Note: It is important to reduce the power level on the scanner and isolate yourself to ensure that acceptable inventory is not inadvertently ragged out and removed from the Laundris platform.

  • Step 3: Select the RFID Ragout option within the app.

  • Step 4: Tap the scan icon then scan the selected items for ragout. Write a note if applicable (Biohazard, Damaged, etc).
  • Step 5: Before tapping Submit, perform a manual count of items and and ensure the scanned count matches your manual count.

The RFID Ragout process has now been completed!
